There are various digital camcorders available in the market. AstraCam DV 680 manufactured by Umax is one of them. This device has 6 mega pixels CCD camera, which could be interpolated up to 8 mega pixels.
This camcorder has 2.5 inches swiveled TFT screen, which could be rotated until 2900. Thus, it can provide more comfortable viewfinder appearances for different image capturing positions.
Interestingly, AstraCam DV680 is equipped with Advanced Electronic Image Stabilizer technology, which reduces blur effects during fast movement recordings. Flashlight with auto, auto with red reductions, fill-in, slow, sync, and off menus are also provided. AstraCam DV680’s video recordings are in the format of avi extension, and could be played with the camcorder’s playback feature.
Besides as camera and digital camcorder, AstraCam DV680 can also function as MP3 player, webcam, and voice recorder. To connect this device to TV or PC, in/out AV Port plus USB 2.0 are available.
This digital camcorder is also supplied with IR (infrared) remote control, which has the effective range of 150 horizontally and vertically of its front side. Meanwhile, its maximum distance is 6 meters.
