Mobiola Media Player, A Multifunction Player with Simple Appearance
Category: Cellphone Application -
Warelex LLC, one of the mobile application developers, recently released their newest application for symbian platform, Mobiola Media Player. This player is more efficient in energy usage and has better quality in terms of videos and frame rates.
The uniqueness of Mobiola Media Player is that users no longer need different applications to play avi and 3gp formats. This is made possible since Mobiola is equipped with DivX, XviD, and MPEG4 codec.
Operating this simple-look player is quite easy. Use the navigation button for controlling the volume, fast forwarding, and rewinding. While for playing and pausing, simply use the ok button.
The displayed picture quality is quite good, and its full screen mode is shown in horizontal position. Unfortunately, the full screen mode cannot be shown in vertical position. On the screen display, we can see some indicators: volume, the elapsed time, and the remaining time.
Besides as video player, Mobiola can also function as MP3 and Wav player. Sadly, the audio file can only run in single play. It is not continuous and not multitasking, unlike the common MP3 players.
Similar to Smartmovie, Mobiola is equipped with a converter which can be run in PC. Compared to the converter in Smartmovie, this converter is simpler and easier to use. In this converter, you can configure the desired picture quality by using the provided slides. The higher the quality, the bigger the size is.
As a comparison, using a low quality setting, a video file whose size is 58 MB can be converted into a 10 MB file, approximately one fifth of its original size. Meanwhile, using high quality setting, it can be converted into a 20 MB file, or 35% of the original file.
Mobiola converter supports various formats, such as avi, 3gp, mov, mpeg, mpg, mjpeg, mp4, mg2, mve, m4v, mkv, flv, smk, str, rm, fli, flc, wve, uv2, wmv, 3g2, asf, m4a, and DVD format or vob to be converted into avi.
Using Mobiola player, PULSA have run those two converted files in Nokia 6630. It turned out that the high quality file showed better picture, but produced unsmooth sounds. On the contrary, the low quality file had less detailed picture, but produced smooth sounds. We recommend the use of balanced setting to get the optimum result.
